Steve Del Bosco, Chief Customer Officer

Appointed to the newly-created position of Chief Customer Officer in February of 2006, Steve Del Bosco is responsible for all VIA's activities directly contributing to the customer experience. These include product design, sales, marketing, and the delivery of services through telephone sales offices, in stations and on board trains, as well as customer and market research.

Mr. Del Bosco possesses broad knowledge of VIA's diverse clientele. In his previous capacity as vice-president, Marketing, he supervised all marketing activities across VIA's four operating sectors. From 1994 to 1995, as director of Marketing, Planning and Services, he led a multi-departmental team in the redesign and relaunch of first class service in the Québec City-Windsor corridor, and was responsible for the successful launch of express service between Toronto and Montreal.

Born in 1955, Mr. Del Bosco was educated at McGill University and has spent almost his entire career in the marketing field. He first began with VIA in 1978 as a market research and forecasting analyst, and has since held a wide range of positions related to sales, marketing and service delivery.
