Bertrand Recher
Senior Economist, CMHC
Mr. Recher is an economist at CMHC's National Office. Now in charge of Canada-wide housing market research, Mr. Recher also has extensive, in-depth knowledge of the Quebec housing sector. After joining the Market Analysis Centre team in 2002, he was successively responsible for the Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Outaouais, Mauricie and Greater Montréal areas. Mr. Recher holds a BA and an MA in Economics from the University of Québec in Montréal.

Ted Tsiakopoulos
Regional Economist, CMHC
Ted Tsiakopoulos leads a team of market analysts in Ontario and is responsible for the forecasting and analysis of both economic conditions and housing conditions across the province. He is frequently quoted in print and television media. Ted has delivered a number of presentations on the state of the housing market to key client groups, including the Federation of Rental Housing Providers of Ontario; the Urban Development Institute; the Ontario Home Builders' Association; the Toronto Real Estate Board; and, the Toronto Association for Business and Economics. Ted has an MA in Economics from York University and also studied at the London School of Economics in the U.K.

Ken Sumnall
Principal, Surveys — Ontario, CMHC
Ken Sumnall is a member of the Ontario Market Analysis management team, he is responsible for Housing Market Surveys, directing a team of staff located in London, Toronto and Ottawa. These surveys include the monthly Housing Starts and Completions, Market Absorption and New Home Sales surveys; semi-annual Rental Market Survey; and, annual surveys of Retirement Homes and Apartment Condominiums. For more than 20 years he worked as a Senior Market Analyst for the London area, managing the Western Ontario market analysis group and delivering market outlooks to a wide range of industry groups. He also edits the Ontario Retirement Homes report and presented the 2006 results at the Ontario Retirement Communities Association's (ORCA) annual conference in September. Ken earned his Honours BA and Master of Arts degrees in Economics at the University of Western Ontario.
