Women's Enterprise Centre of BC

Women's Enterprise Centre of BC is a provincial, non-profit* organization that assists women who are starting, purchasing or growing a business in British Columbia. Business services include financing, counselling, training, resource information and referrals.

Eligibility Criteria

Women's Enterprise Centre services are available to all women entrepreneurs capable of starting and growing a viable business in British Columbia.

To be eligible for a loan, you must be:

• a business located in British Columbia and at least 51% owned and controlled by a woman or women;
• a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
• residing in British Columbia.

Summary

Women's Enterprise Centre is part of the pan-western Women's Enterprise Initiative developed and funded by Western Economic Diversification Canada.

Financing

Loans can be to a maximum of $100 000 for new or existing businesses. 

Training

Their training products and services promote practical, applied learning that is relevant to the successful operation of a small business. 

Business Counselling

Women entrepreneurs in the province of British Columbia have access to free business counselling.

The Women's Enterprise Centre business analysts will assess your business plan, review your cash flow forecasts, assist you in developing a strategy for conducting market research or provide insight or a fresh point-of-view on any number of business issues.

Business Information and Referral

The Women's Enterprise Centre will work to find answers or a solution to all business inquiries. Referrals to other organizations or government services will also be used.
