Submitting a proposal for a conceptual project

Submitting a proposal for a conceptual project

The first step in the process is for you to present a brief summary of your idea or conceptual project to us by using the Contact Form or by fax (613 943‑5811).

We will work with you on an initial screening assessment of your idea or conceptual project to determine:

If your idea or conceptual project passes the initial screening, we will ask you to prepare a short (2‑4 page) Proposal Overview, that would provide further details on your proposed project and indicate how it would address the assessment criteria. We will provide you with a template for the Proposal Overview. Please note that this step in the process does not represent a funding commitment from the ecoENERGY Technology Initiative.

Your completed Proposal Overview will be reviewed and considered by the appropriate expert committee responsible for the Technology Priority area under which your proposed project falls.

If it is provisionally accepted for co-funding, we will ask you to prepare a more detailed project proposal that will permit us to undertake the necessary due diligence assessment of the project before we would be able to make a final funding commitment. We will provide you with the necessary documentation and guidelines for developing the detailed proposal and will work with you to ensure that it meets all requirements for the assessment.
