The Authentication of Documents program authenticates official Canadian documents and documents signed by a Canadian notary public or lawyer for use abroad.

Application Information
- Requests to obtain a Statement in lieu of Certificate of Non-Impediment to Marriage Abroad must be submitted by mail.
- Requests for document authentication must be submitted by mail or in person.
