Ontario Drug Benefit Program (ODB) Once you Turn 65
Through the Ontario Drug Benefit (ODB) Program, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care covers most of the cost of over 3,000 prescription drug products listed in the ODB Formulary, in addition to a number of limited-use drug products, nutrition and diabetic testing products. As long as they have a valid Ontario Health Card, seniors turning 65 years of age are automatically entitled to receive benefits under the ODB program, and do not need to apply for coverage.
