Access to a highly skilled workforce
Canada ’s highly skilled, multilingual workforce ranks high among competing countries and stimulates the creation of global teams in the workplace.
- Canada ’s health science research community comprises over 30,000 investigators in 16 medical schools, and over 100 teaching hospitals and research institutes.
- Among the OECD countries, Canada has the highest percentage of individuals with at least a college or university education ( see Table 1).
- Canada leads the G-7 in terms of the percentage of GDP spent on public education ( see Table 2).
