Celebrate Children's Day in Japan!Gatineau, Quebec, April 26, 2007 — On Friday, May 4, bring your preschoolers to the Canadian Children's Museum (CCM) for a special Japanese celebration! Kids aged five and under, and accompanying adults are invited to join us for Kodomo no hi, which means Children's Day in Japanese. You'll enjoy taking part in traditional Japanese children's activities, such as making a carp kite or a kimono doll.
Kodomo no hi is a Japanese national holiday celebrated every May 5 to honour children. The Canadian Children's Museum, located within the Canadian Museum of Civilization, celebrates children year-round with activities like this one, as part of the CCM's Just for You and Your Preschooler series.
