Bite into bark and make art Gatineau, Quebec, July 5, 2007 — On July 14 and 15, join artist Simon Brascoupé at the Canadian Museum of Civilization for an exciting and very different type of workshop. You will create beautiful designs on birchbark using high-precision tools… your teeth!
Simon Brascoupé, Tuscarora, Algonquin and Mohawk, was born and raised in the Tuscarora Indian Nation and is a member of Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg, Maniwaki, Quebec. He is an internationally known artist and educator. Simon's artistic vision is to understand traditional values and teachings through the continuity of imagery and the narrative.
