Carved in stoneGatineau, Quebec, July 31, 2007 — On August 7 and 8, see artist Paul Bruneau at work at the Canadian Museum of Civilization as he completes a stone sculpture inspired by his Ojibway heritage. His work includes carvings and sculptures of animals and people.
Paul is an Anishinabe (Ojibway) from the Mattagami First Nation near Timmins, Ontario. His artistic ability first manifested itself as a child when his love of drawing and craft-making became apparent. Paul's mission is to create unique works of fine Canadian art that display his emotions, talent and spiritual connection, provoking intense feelings in others, and to contribute to the image of Canada through artistic expression.
