Geronimo Friday, September 21, 2007 7:30 p.m. Theatre Tickets: $10 Tickets are available at the Museum’s Box Office Geronimo Entertainment Group will be presenting music, song and dance for an evening of lively entertainment. Geronimo promotes Indonesian music and culture. The group has released several hit albums and performed in many festivals and events in Asia.
Evening at the Museum: Spins & Needles Thursday, September 20, 2007 7 p.m. Riverview Salon $6 (includes all project materials and instructions) Cash bar Come listen to some funky beats from a local DJ while you craft the night away at Spins & Needles, a monthly Ottawa-based craft night. This is an opportunity to bring together people who want to get creative to work on projects, share ideas and have a drink or two while listening to cool beats. Be inspired by the Museum’s environment while listening to DJ Jason Pelletier.
Canadian Children’s Museum (Located in the Canadian Museum of Civilization)
Celebrate Trung Thu Saturday, September 22 and Sunday, September 23, 2007 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (bilingual) Trung Thu is a special holiday when Vietnamese parents show their love and appreciation for their children with storytelling. Children will make their own lantern and moon mask for this occasion and watch the unicorn dance at 11:30 a.m., 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. Celebrate Trung Thu is presented in partnership with the Vietnamese Buddhist Youth Association in Ottawa.
Celebrate Trung Thu: Just for You and Your Preschooler Friday, September 21, 2007 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. (bilingual) Ages 5 and under Just for You and Your Preschooler presents a special Trung Thu celebration for children under five and accompanying adults, with moon mask activities and moon cake.
