Canadian War Museum Building Knowledge Lecture: Dr. Peter Wells, The Battle that stopped RomeOttawa, Ontario, October 18, 2007 — On Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007 the Canadian War Museum is pleased to present an evening with historian Dr. Peter S. Wells of the University of Minnesota, as he discusses how recent archaeological finds help explain the defeat of Roman legions by local German warriors at the Teutoburg Forest in 9 CE.
This lecture is presented in partnership with the Archaeological Institute of America.
