Atlantic Region
Welcome to the Atlantic Region of the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC Atlantic)
PHAC Atlantic works with partners to support appropriate public health and health promotion initiatives that respond to the needs of Atlantic Canadians. We do so via our three regional roles: building community capacity, developing knowledge about regional public health issues, and facilitating collaboration among people from diverse sectors. The principles of population health, social inclusion, and public policy development guide all our work.
This Web site showcases some of the innovative work of PHAC staff and partners in the four Atlantic provinces. On the site you will find information about our funding programs and priorities, descriptions of all the community-based projects we have funded with these programs in recent years, and a large collection of resource material on population health in Atlantic Canada.
