Information on Energy Efficient Building Design, Measures and Technologies for New Buildings

Information and awareness activities for energy efficient new buildings include: identifying energy efficiency opportunities, practices, standards and tools. Case studies, tips and key energy efficient measures from over 1,000 buildings in NRCan's database will be shared.

Building owners and professionals will find information on the benefits of pursuing validation of the energy simulation of buildings by Natural Resources Canada's Office of Energy Efficiency. The validation can be used to show compliance for: utility or regional incentive programs; provincial, territorial and/or municipal requirements; and for the purpose of energy rating.

NRCan develops and promotes networks and links to other national and regional stakeholders providing assistance and funding.
