Validation of New Building Models with Respect to the Model National Energy Code for Buildings (MNECB)

The Office of Energy Efficiency (OEE) offers validation of new building design models prepared in Natural Resources Canada's approved software. The validation can be used to show compliance for utility or regional incentive programs or provincial, territorial, and or municipal requirements and for the purpose of energy rating.

The procedure to submit a building's design simulation for validation is currently being finalized. A preliminary procedure to submit a project for validation is available.

OEE continues to maintain existing stakeholder relationships and their requirements for file validation to support their activities.

Sign-up your project and receive technical assistance.

Your projects must meet all the applicable mandatory requirements listed on our MNECB Checklist.
