The Cadieux-Léger Fellowship


The Policy Research Division (POR) of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada announces the Cadieux-Léger Fellowship 2008/2009.

The Cadieux-Léger Fellowship is a foreign policy research position in the Policy Research Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade which provides direct experience in a policy planning environment.

ELIGIBILITY
The ideal candidate will be working towards or have completed a PhD on a topic of relevance to Canada's foreign policy. Exceptional candidates with a Masters degree will also be considered. The Fellowship is open to Canadian citizens. A security clearance will be required.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Interested candidates should include with their application letter: (i) a curriculum vitae, (ii) a complete transcript, (iii) a one page research proposal on a significant foreign policy issue relevant to Canada, (iv) a sample paper or publication, and (v) the names of three references.

AWARD
The Cadieux-Léger Fellowship carries a stipend of $49,500 for nine months (September to May).

The deadline for applications is December 31, 2007. The successful candidate will be required to relocate to Ottawa at their own expense.
