BALTIMORE (AP) The Orioles rounded out manager Dave Trembley's coaching staff for 2008, hiring Dave Jauss as bench coach.
Jauss, 50, served as bench coach for the Los Angeles Dodgers from 2006-07. Before that, he spent 10 years with the Boston Red Sox, including stints as first-base coach, bench coach and advance scout. He is the son of Bill Jauss, a retired sportswriter for the Chicago Tribune.
Trembley, who replaced Sam Perlozzo as manager in June, has dramatically altered the coaching staff. Among the changes: highly touted pitching coach Leo Mazzone, who was replaced by Rick Kranitz. Bench coach Tom Trebelhorn was fired after 12 years with the organization. (Full Story)
