Recycling-Artists Eco Fair

December 8 and 9

Salon des artistes-récupérateurs 2006Here’s the perfect opportunity of the Holidays to find gifts made entirely of recovered materials!

This second edition of the fair brings together, in two categories, 45 exhibitors who have tackled the challenge of creating unique and original products using recovered materials. Basing their creation on human and environmental values, they have a shared social, ethical and environmental awareness. The “Useful objects, jewellery, furniture and accessories” category will involve 31 craftspeople, while the “Eco-designer Fashion” category will involve 14 creators. Entry to the fair is free.

A modern tale: Sainte-Émilie Flying Beavers

December 8-9, 15-16, continuously, starting December 22

In a village in the Haute-Mauricie area, will the magic of Christmas find a place in a busy young family’s daily life? Combining humour, mystery and realism, this modern tale, told in the form of an interactive story for the whole family, gives us a chance to think about our holiday habits today.

Intervention theatre play Meilleurs Voeux, prise deux! (Season’s Greetings, Take Two!)

Starting December 27

In a context of overconsumption, we can make green choices and consume less over the holidays. The intervention theatre play Season’s Greetings, Take Two! involves the spectators, who have a role to play as this story on good manners--environmental good manners--unfolds. Presented in French only.

Play Trop tard... (Too Late...)

December 15, 16, 22 and 23

This play encourages the public, especially teenagers, to become more responsible consumers. The characters, to their surprise, find out that they want to fight for the environment. Presented in French only.

The Green Santa and his Eco-Elves Workshop

December 8-9, 15-16, continuously, starting December 22.

Young people are invited to make a surprise bag of green resolutions using recovered materials. The activity will take place in Eco-Elves Workshop, under the supervision of Green Santa, who will warmly greet the visitors on December 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23 and 24.
