11/9/2007 Gonchar scored his first even-strength goal of the season and added an assist, but the visiting Penguins lost, 4-2, to the New York Rangers on Thursday night at Madison Square Garden. It was Gonchar's fourth multipoint performance of the season, but the Penguins are 1-3-0 in those games. Gonchar's previous two goals this season occurred on power plays. He has three goals and 11 assists in 16 games this season for Pittsburgh.
11/3/2007 Gonchar contributed two assists in a second straight game, but the visiting Penguins fell, 3-2, to Colorado on Thursday. The defenseman, who has three multipoint games this season, assisted on two goals in a win at Minnesota on Tuesday. Gonchar has two goals and nine assists in 12 games, and has totaled 175 goals and 386 assists for 561 points in 838 career games.
10/31/2007 Gonchard did not have an assist in his previous four games, but he had two on Tuesday night in the Penguins' 4-2 road win over Minnesota. It was Gonchar's second multipoint performance of the season. He had a goal and two assists in Pittsburgh's 5-4 home loss to the New Jersey Devils on Oct. 17. Gonchar has two goals and seven assists for nine points in 11 games this season. The defenseman has 175 goals and 384 assists for 559 points in his 837-game career.
10/18/2007 Gonchar contributed a goal and two assists, but the host Penguins lost, 5-4, to New Jersey on Wednesday. The defenseman had 22 multipoint games last season, and in his most recent effort, he had two assists in an overtime loss at Toronto on March 31. His last three-point performance came against Montreal in a shootout win on Feb. 1. Gonchar has a goal and four assists in five games this season.
