4/12/2007 | Grier contributed a goal and an assist for the vistiing Sharks in their 5-4 double overtime victory over Nashville on Wednesday night in the in the opening game of the Western Conference first-round series. The right wing, who had not registered a playoff point in the previous 11 games, has 11 goals and 11 assists in 59 career postseason appearances. Grier had 16 goals and 17 assists for 33 points in 81 regular-season games with the Sharks this season. |
3/31/2007 | Grier contributed two assists for the host Sharks in their 4-2 victory over Phoenix on Friday. It was the right wing's sixth multipoint game of the season and his first since a two-point effort in a Feb. 24 loss to Calgary. Grier has 15 goals and 15 assists in 77 games this season--his first with the Sharks since being traded from Buffalo in July. He is three points shy of 300 for his career. Grier has 127 goals and 170 assists for 297 points in 770 games. |

1/5/2007 | Grier had his first three-point game of the season, contributing two goals and an assist for the Sharks in their 9-4 rout of visiting Detroit on Thursday. Both power-plays goals helped the Sharks set a franchise-record with six such scores in the contest. With his goals, the San Jose right wing snapped a seven-game scoring skid. Grier, who has played 41 games this year, has nine goals and six assists. |
7/3/2006 | According to Grier's agent, Jay Fee, the 31-year-old right wing agreed to a three-year, $5.3 million contract with San Jose on Monday. Grier will earn $1,775,000 a year, a boost from the $1.36 million he made with Buffalo last season. The nine-year veteran had seven goals and 16 assists in 81 games for the Sabres during the 2005-06 season and added three goals and five assists in 18 postseason games. |
