11/2/2007 Savard contributed a goal and an assist to help the host Bruins to a 4-3 overtime win over Buffalo on Thursday. It was the center's second multipoint game of the season as his first was a career high-tying five-point effort in a win at Los Angeles on Oct. 12. Savard has two goals and 10 assists in 10 games this season.
10/13/2007 Savard posted his fourth career five-point game, helping the visiting Bruins to an 8-6 win over Los Angeles on Friday. The center scored midway through the third period and added four assists for his first five-point finish since a win over Tampa Bay on Nov. 4, 2006. Savard, who returned after missing Wednesday's loss at Anaheim because of a groin strain, has a goal and six assists in three games this season.
10/11/2007 Savard was held out of the Bruins' lineup for their 2-1 loss at Anaheim on Wednesday with a groin strain. According to the Boston Globe, both he and coach Claude Julien determined it was best for Savard to sit out the game as the center said the ice felt like "quicksand." Savard didn't practice Monday or Tuesday and rode a stationary bike after Wednesday morning's skate. Savard, who was injured Saturday against Phoenix, is listed day-to-day.
10/7/2007 Savard helped the Bruins snap a seven-game losing streak and obtain their first win in Phoenix in nearly 10 years, but suffered an injury that forced him to leave the game. Savard suffered a lower-body injury in the second period and did not return after logging 9 minutes, 46 seconds of ice time in the 3-1 win. Savard assisted on one of Boston's two first-period goals. The Bruins visit Anaheim on Wednesday.
