Hornets-Grizzlies Preview

The New Orleans Hornets closed 2006-07 by winning seven of 10 games, and while their 39-43 record didn't earn them a Western Conference playoff spot, they appear to have carried over the momentum from their late-season run.

New Orleans will try for its eighth win in 10 games to begin 2007-08 - which would be a franchise-best start - Friday night when it visits the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Hornets started 7-2 once before, in 2002-03, their first season in Louisiana after moving from Charlotte. This season, New Orleans is 4-1 on the road and has been winning games with a simple combination - long-distance shooting and defense. (Full Story)
