Information about reactivating your claim

If you filed a claim for benefits within the last 52 weeks, you may be able to reactivate this claim. To reactivate your claim, please submit an application on-line. However, in certain situations it may be to your advantage to cancel or end your old claim and start a new one instead. If you are interested in doing so, please contact us within 30 days. To know more on the duration of a benefit period...

When should you submit your application?

Your application can be finalized without delay if you submit all the required information and documents.

You must request your Record of Employment (ROE) from your last employer. Information from your last employment found on your ROE is needed to fill out your application. Delaying in filing your claim for benefits beyond 4 weeks after your last day of work may cause loss of benefits.
