What is a Traveller Profile and what purpose does it serve?
Your Traveller Profile is a detailed listing of all your individual preferences and special needs. The Profile ensures that all these factors - including seat selection, special menus, hotel accommodation and car rental club memberships, and frequent flyer programs - are available to the counsellor whenever you call the Travel Call Centre to make a reservation. Travel counsellors have access to your Profile, and will consult it when you call. This provides for efficient customer service.
You will need a completed Traveller Profile to make any travel reservation.

How do I create and submit a Traveller Profile?
You can access your full Traveller Profile by selecting the "Profile/X.400 E-mail" link on the left navigation toolbar in the Portal Complete the Personal, Department and Travel Preferences Profile tabs to ensure your personal and travel information is up to date when booking travel.

If you move to a new department or change any of your preferences at any time, you should update your Traveller Profile to reflect your new circumstances. Updating your Traveller Profile is your responsibility.
You can update your Traveller Profile by selecting the "Profile/X.400 E-mail" link and entering your new information
What is a TIN and what purpose does it serve?
Each Traveller Identification Number (TIN) is a unique identifier assigned by Travel AcXess Voyage to recognize an individual traveller. The TIN is linked to the individual's Traveller Profile and is required in order to make a reservation. You will need a TIN to make any travel reservation. Without a TIN, you cannot use any of the travel services.
How do I obtain my TIN?
Travellers with on-line access can request a TIN on the Travel AcXess Voyage Portal. Once you have completed the mandatory fields and submitted the request on-line, the system will respond with your new Travel AcXess Voyage TIN. You will need an X.400 e-mail address to receive your TIN electronically.
Travellers who do not have on-line access may contact the Travel Call Centre at 1-800-514-3798 to receive a TIN by telephone.

What do I do if I forget my TIN?
If you forget your TIN, contact Travel AcXess Voyage at 1-800-514-3798. You will need to be authenticated before the travel counsellor will give you the TIN; this ensures that the information is transmitted to the right person.

What is a TAN and what purpose does it serve?
A Travel Authorization Number (TAN) is comprised of a nine-character alphanumeric code, and allows government travellers and travel arrangers to obtain transportation services on a prepaid basis.
The TAN authorizes Travel AcXess Voyage to reserve and deliver tickets and other documents related to air, rail, sea and land transportation, and to reserve hotel accommodations and rental vehicles. Departments use TANs to help reconcile expenses that appear in monthly Designated Responsibility Centre Travel Card (DRCTC) account statements.
