Apply for a Designated Travel Card
If your job requires you to travel, the
Government Designated Travel Card (DTC) will provide you
with everything you need for worry-free transactions while
you’re on the road, including unparalleled insurance coverage
and a choice of loyalty programs.
To get your DTC, you must fill out a
card application form. You may also obtain this form by contacting your
Senior Full-time Travel Officer (SFTO).
Once you have filled out the form, it will require the
signature of your supervisor and an authorized officer (e.g. SFTO or Departmental Contact) for final approval. Once approval has been granted, American Express will process the application.
Cards are usually processed and distributed within two weeks of the time American Express receives the approval from your SFTO.
