Portal Release Notes
updated December 23, 2004
The
Travel AcXess Voyage portal
and On-line Booking Tool (OBT) launched on November 24th are the
first in a suite of new on-line tools for government travellers.
STSI and Team AcXess will continue to work on future releases that
will refine existing features along with developing new
functionality.
This document lists some of the features and functionality that may
affect the user experience. As refinements are implemented, the list
will be updated.
Browser Compatibility
The portal is compatible with Internet Explorer version 5.5 and
higher, and with Netscape Navigator version 7 and higher. If you
experience browser compatibility issues, please contact your
departmental technical support resource.
Travellers with Incorrect X.400 E-mail Addresses in Converted
Profiles
X.400 e-mail address conversion from existing Profiles to the
new on-line solution was not 100% accurate. Some travellers listed
nicknames (for example: Jim vs. James; Peggy vs. Margaret) in their
pre-conversion Profiles, preventing accurate conversion. Travellers
may not receive expected communication from Travel AcXess Voyage, or
may receive communication in error.
Travellers should confirm their X.400 e-mail address by selecting
³Profile/X.400 E-mail² from the left navigation menu on the portal.
If there continues to be an issue, they should contact the Travel
AcXess Voyage Support Desk at 1-800-514-3798.
New User Setup - Mandatory Profile Fields
As part of the New User Setup, travellers are required to
complete a set of mandatory Profile fields after their first login
to the portal. One of these fields, the ³Country of Residence² for
the travellerıs emergency contact, may seem out of context, as it is
the only mandatory information required about the emergency contact
at this point. All other Emergency Contact Information fields appear
in the full Profile under the Personal tab.
Saving Changes to Your Profile
Your on-line Profile is divided into three tabs: Personal,
Department, and Travel Preferences. While you are modifying the
Profile data fields, you can move among the tabs without saving your
changes as long as you have completed all the mandatory fields on
each tab. You should save your changes only once for your complete
Profile, not once for each tab.
Selecting Save and Exit triggers a data upload to the Profile server
and can take a significant amount of time. Travellers should select
Save & Exit only when all desired Profile changes in all tabs are
complete, including mandatory fields.
