11/8/2007 Sabourin stopped 17 of the 20 shots he faced, but the host Penguins fell, 3-1, to Philadelphia on Wednesday. The goaltender was unable to build off of his 5-0 defeat of New Jersey on Monday. Sabourin dropped to 3-2-1 with a 2.05 goals-against average and .919 save percentage in eight appearances - including six starts - this season.
11/6/2007 Sabourin made 20 saves for his first career shutout to lead the visiting Penguins to a 5-0 win over the New Jersey Devils on Monday night. The goaltender, who was coming off a loss to Colorado on Thursday, was making his seventh appearance - including fifth start - of the season. The 27-year-old Sabourin improved to 3-1-1 with a 1.86 goals-against average and .929 save percentage for the Penguins.
11/3/2007 Sabourin made 30 saves for the visiting Penguins in their 3-2 loss to Colorado on Thursday. The goaltender made his sixth appearance - and his fourth start - of the season. Sabourin is 2-1-1 with a 2.28 goals-against average and .917 save percentage for the Penguins.
10/31/2007 Sabourin made his fifth appearance -- his third start -- of the season on Tuesday night. He stopped 28 of 30 shots to help the visiting Penguins beat the Minnesota Wild, 4-2. Sabourin is 2-0-1 with a 2.06 goals-against average and .920 save percentag this season while filling in for Marc-Andre Fleury.
10/28/2007 Sabourin made 13 saves, but allowed the lone score in the shootout as the host Penguins fell, 4-3, to Montreal on Saturday. The goaltender faced seven shootout attempts prior to allowing a score from the Canadiens' Andrei Markov in the eighth round. He fell to 1-1 this season and 1-2 for his career in shootouts. Sabourin played the final 43 minutes, 44 seconds as he replaced the ineffective Marc-Andre Fleury.
10/20/2007 Sabourin made 29 saves, then stopped one of three shootout attempts as the host Penguins defeated Carolina, 4-3, on Friday. The goaltender, who made seven saves in a relief appearance against the Hurricanes on Oct. 5, improved to 1-1 in career shootouts. This was Sabourin's first win of the season, and is now 1-0-0 with a 3.00 goals-against average and .889 save percentage while starting two of his three appearances.
10/15/2007 Sabourin, who received stitches in his head to close a cut that occurred during Saturday's game, returned to practice on Monday.
10/14/2007 Sabourin allowed two goals on six shots in the first period, but the visiting Penguins were able to defeat Toronto, 6-4, on Saturday. The goaltender was chased after 15:07 with Pittsburgh trailing 2-1, and was spelled by Marc-Andre Fleury for the rest of the game. Sabourin has posted a 3.42 goals-against average in two appearances this season.
