How To Order

The PubliCentrale web site provides access to free and priced publications produced and published by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and it’s agencies.

On the web site, you will be able to easily locate and access publications available in various formats. Not all formats are available for every publication. Distribution lists are also available for subscription.

Publications can be ordered by mail, phone, fax or Internet. Priced publications orders must be prepaid by cheque or postal money order payable to the Receiver General for Canada. All prices are subject to change.

If you do not find the publication you need or if it is not in stock, we will gladly point you in the right direction. Our bilingual staff will gladly assist you in any way required. Some publications are only available through the Canadian Agriculture Library. You can locate the web site by clicking on Canadian Agriculture Library

Before explaining the order process, we wish to advise you up front that we cannot accept credit cards for payment at this time.

Ordering is an easy four-step process.

1. Select the publications you wish to order and add them to your order
2. Complete the contact information
3. Verify your order form
4. Confirm your order

   
Step 1
Publications that are available for order and Distribution Lists that are available for subscription will have a check box beside them. These publications and Distribution Lists will appear in your search results lists or in the catalogues you may be browsing. When you select publication(s) to order or Distribution Lists to subscribe you are immediately shown your selection(s) in your order content. In your order content you can:

   
  • modify the quantity of publications and recalculate the order,

  • remove an item,

  • choose to go back and continue shopping by clicking the 'Continue Shopping' button,
  • and/or continue through the ordering process by clicking the 'Check Out' button.

    Step 2
    Step 2 contains two windows:

    - First window is to enter your Client ID. If you don’t know your Client ID or don’t have one, then click on 'Continue' button.
    - Second window asks you to complete your contact information. Once all the required information are filled correctly click 'Continue' button to go to Step 3.

       
    Step 3
    This window presents an order form that includes your order along with the contact information you have entered. If you are satisfied and the information is correct, choose 'Confirm Order'. You can also choose 'Continue Shopping' or you can go back and correct your order information by clicking on 'Change Contact Information' or 'Change Order Content' button . You will be reminded to print a copy of the order form using the print feature on your browser. If you would like to pay by cheque or money order, print the order form and mail it to us with your payment.

       
    Step 4
    You will be presented with a final confirmation window. Click on 'Confirm Order' button to submit your electronic order.

    It takes four (4) to six (6) weeks for your order to be processed and sent to you. This period starts the day we receive your order form.

    Order Content
    The Order Content displays the publication(s) you have selected to order and/or Distribution List(s) you have selected to subscribe. When the Order Content window is displayed, you'll see the publication(s) you selected, the quantity you selected, the unit price, the total amount (if you selected more than one of the same publication), and a total cost in Canadian dollars; and/or Distribution List(s) you have selected to subscribe. It is possible to make modifications to your shopping list, or if you are satisfied, click the 'Check Out' button to continue the order process.

    The following modifications may be done within your Order Content:

       
    Quantity
    You may increase or decrease the quantity by clicking in the Quantity field and selecting the number of publications you want to order. The quantity is one (1) by default, and you can increase the quantity up to five (5).

       
    Recalculate the total
    When you click on the 'Recalculate' button you are requesting that the total order value be re-calculated if you have changed the quantity. The window information is refreshed by the system.
    Note: 'Recalculate' button is only for Publications not Distribution Lists.

       
    Remove items from the list
    Select the publications and/or distribution list(s) to be removed and click the 'Remove' button.

       
    Continue Shopping
    Click the 'Continue Shopping' button and you will be returned to the home page.

    Method of Payment
    Once you've completed all the above steps, to pay by cheque or money order, you've entered your contact information, you've printed your order form, and you are now ready to send us your order.

    Note: We wish to advise you up front that we cannot accept credit cards for payments directly online at this time.

    All payments must be made in CDN funds. If you would like to pay by cheque or money order, print the order form and mail it to us with your payment payable to: 'THE RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA'.

    It takes four (4) to six (6) weeks for your order to be processed and sent to you by mail. This period starts the day we receive your order form and payment.

    Contact Information
    When the Contact Information window is displayed, enter your Client ID. If you don’t know your Client ID or don’t have one, then click on Continue. It is important to enter the information in the mandatory fields. The mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk (*).

    Click the 'Continue' button when your information is entered to continue the order process.

    Return Policy
    All sales are final, but if your order is damaged, defective, or incorrect, please advise us within seven (7) days of receipt and we'll gladly replace it. Prices are subject to change without notice.
