Problem:	When a user adjusts the harness system aggressively by pulling the adjusting strap upward, enough force may be exerted to disengage the plastic adjuster housing from the back of the seat shell.

Background & Company Action:	Evenflo has received a total of 1110 reports from consumers in Canada and the United States through their consumer help line. Transport Canada has received one complaint. As of November 08, 2000, the shell of this model of seat was revised and the adjuster area was reinforced.

Safety Risk:	There is no safety risk as the harness, when adjusted, will continue to perform as designed holding the infant into the seat.

Consumer Recourse:	A consumer has two options if they are experiencing this problem with their Evenflo infant seat. Firstly, by phoning the toll free number (1-800-265-0749) Evenflo will replace the infant seat by overnight courier. Secondly, if the infant seat is returned to the retail outlet, the retail outlet will exchange the affected seat with a new one.
