New Publications: Mandatory Recipients
Copies of all new Industry Canada publications must be delivered to the following mandatory recipients. These deliveries can often be made direct from the printer.

- Send a minimum of 2 percent of the quantity of your print run to PWGSC, so that it can fulfill ongoing orders from the public on behalf of the Department. (If you are announcing your publication electronically instead of by mass mailing and are using the Department’s order fulfillment arrangement with PWGSC, you will need to anticipate demand and send the required number of copies to PWGSC.)

- Send the required number of copies, as determined by the Depository Services Program (DSP), for distribution to the network of depository libraries across the country. The DSP typically requires the following quantities:
- For publications with a limited print run, the DSP usually only provides copies to full-fledged depository libraries in Canada. The minimum quantity is 55 bilingual copies, or 55 English copies and 25 French copies.
- For publications with larger print runs, the DSP usually provides copies to a wider range of libraries across Canada and internationally. In this case, the minimum quantity is 300 bilingual copies, or 250 English copies and 150 French copies.
- In the event that these quantities are not available for the DSP, please send
3 bilingual copies, or 3 English and 3 French copies, for archival purposes.
- From these quantities, the DSP provides copies to Library and Archives Canada for Legal Deposit.
