The following checklists are also available as downloadable
PDF files.
Checklist for Performing Quality Assurance Checks
A quality assurance (QA) check should always be done
after a text has been edited. This serves several purposes:
- to ensure that the editor did the work that
was requested
- to verify that guidelines on official languages,
plain language, etc., have been respected
- to verify that departmental style has been respected
- to determine if the edited text is ready to
continue through the publishing process or be released.
The following checklist contains some general QA guidelines,
as well as some specific style issues that often need
to be addressed in Industry Canada documents.
