RE: | Payment by Credit Card | |||||||||||||||
Effective January 1st, 2003 the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) will accept payment by credit card for amounts of up to $5,000 (Canadian) including GST. This applies to all fees and service charges payable to OSFI. This new payment option offers our clients a more convenient method of remitting to OSFI. We recognize that the $5,000 limit will not permit federally regulated financial institutions to pay their annual assessment by credit card, however OSFI is currently exploring alternative electronic payment options to address this need.
OSFI will accept the following credit cards:
Credit cards may be used to pay for the following: Clients who choose to pay by credit card may use one of the following methods:
A) Payment of an invoice:
B) Request for service (e.g. user pay service charges)
All payments by credit card will be processed upon receipt by OSFI. Any request for service for which the credit card pre-payment has been declined will not be processed until payment has been honoured. Subsequent to the approval of the transaction by the credit card issuer, OSFI will issue a confirmation of payment to the client. If you have any questions concerning this matter, please call Len Delevante at (613) 990-7855 or Lisa Marlot at (613) 998-4722, or e-mail us at finance@osfi-bsif.gc.ca. |
