Totem class on the Skeena

Enjoy first-class service between Jasper and Prince Rupert!

Comfort and scenery in Totem class

During the peak season (mid-May to late September), treat yourself to Totem class aboard the Skeena between Jasper, in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, and Prince Rupert, in the northwestern coast of B.C. Discover northern British Columbia - its fabulous fauna and flora, its rich and colourful First Nations' culture and its breathtaking landscapes.

In Totem class, you enjoy exclusive access to the Park car and its domed observatory. Take a seat in this upper deck to enjoy 360-degree views of the Rocky Mountains, crystal blue lakes, rushing rivers, lush forests, quaint villages and abundant wildlife indigenous to the region. Downstairs, in the congenial Bullet Lounge, you'll be able to share the pleasures of this trip with travellers from all over the world.

And thanks to an overnight layover in Prince George - don't forget to book a hotel room! - you'll arrive on the Pacific Coast feeling refreshed.

Baggage

In the peak season, take advantage of the baggage car and check all baggage that you don't need during the journey. You can check up to six articles, three free of charge.

During the off-peak season, from October to mid-May, the train has no baggage car, and so checked baggage service is not available. We recommend that you restrict yourself to one or two items of carry-on baggage. Follow this link for information on carry on baggage.

Alcoholic drinks service

Alcohol service is governed by provincial laws. As such, the times at which alcohol is served depends on the province in which the train is travelling. Under these laws, you cannot consume alcohol that was not purchased on board.
