Youth Officer Resource Centre
A valuable resource supporting
RCMP Youth Officers working with schools
- The Youth Officer Resource Centre was launched August 28, 2006 as component of the RCMP’s overall National Youth Services Program.
- The Youth Officer Resource Centre is an internal website that serves as a valuable tool for front line RCMP police officers working as with youth in Canadian communities. The intention is to expand the program to eventually share these tools with our other policing partners.
- The Youth Officer Resource Centre includes a number of presentations for police to deliver to youth on topics varying from gangs to drugs to Internet safety and bullying.
- The Youth Officer resource Centre is designed to support the National Youth Officer Program with tools, tips, complete lesson plans, accurate and tested information and consistent messaging for members working with youth.
- The Youth Officer Resource Centre was developed by the RCMP’s National Youth Services Program. The information contained within it was developed and/or tested by a number of partners including educators, police and youth.
