Plant Protection, Animal Health and Plant Inspection

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) implements legislation with regard to the import and export of plants and animals and their parts and derivatives under, especially, the following laws :

We advise you to always contact CFIA directly before importing any plant or animal specimen (see also the « FAQ » section)

CFIA also issues CITES Phytosanitary Certificates that allow the export of artificially propagated plants. For more information, consult the « Permits » section.
