As part of its policy of ensuring that it is providing first class actuarial advice, GAD (the UK Government Actuary's Department) commissioned an external peer review in 2002 of the public reports that it has prepared recently on the Great Britain National Insurance Fund. The review was carried out by Jean-Claude Ménard of the Office of the Chief Actuary at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions in Canada. The peer review report is entitled Public Reports Prepared by the UK Government Actuary's Department on the Great Britain National Insurance Fund
