History
In 2002, this site was created by the dynamic teamwork of a group called Virtual Youth Canada in conjunction with 18 Federal partners. Find out who helps make youth.gc.ca a reality. Learn more about their role!
Canadian Youth Connection Forum (CYC)
Over time, Virtual Youth Canada evolved into the Canadian Youth Connection Forum. The CYC is an online forum for youth aged 15 to 30 that provides young Canadians with a secure online environment where they can:
- meet and interact with other youth from across the nation
- participate in surveys and on-line testing of various government services for youth to provide feedback to the Government of Canada
- express their opinions and engage in discussions on various issues
- gain volunteer experience
- develop their critical thinking skills
- have fun!
Through e-consultation activities, CYC members share their feedback about youth services with the Government of Canada and its partners. The forum also features other youth engagement activities designed to promote involvement in the community and awareness of global issues.
