Pure Canada: What’s the most romantic spot in your city for a late-night bite?

Patrick Clermont: Our fine dining room at the Frobisher called the Gallery has great ambience, with dim lights and a beautiful view of the bay. The fish is really unbelievable, but our most popular dish is the caribou stew. It’s thick and hearty and very flavorful – a twist on your regular beef stew.

Pure Canada:  Where is the best place to see the latest concert?

Patrick Clermont: We’re trying to set up a monthly music night at the Storehouse Bar and Grill, which is the place for dining and dancing, featuring local acts from around Iqaluit.

Pure Canada: What’s your favorite indoor weather activity?

Patrick Clermont: We have a movie theater right here in the  building and a pool complete with a hot tub. There’s also a coffee shop, so you can grab a coffee and head over to our art gallery without leaving the building. We’re well prepared!

Pure Canada:  What’s your favorite suite in the hotel and why?

Patrick Clermont: My favorite room is the Bayview Suite. It’s on the second floor and it has a wonderful view of the bay, not to mention a living room, off the bedroom, stocked with everything you could want. There’s also a beautiful fireplace. What better way to end a day of exploring Nunavut than sitting by the roaring fire or taking a soak in the in-suite Jacuzzi? We’ve also decorated  the suite with one-of-a-kind Inuit art, which adds some true northern flavor to the room.
