Where to spa

By Joanne Latimer

Edmonton’s Eveline Charles

Why limit spring-cleaning to your closet? Our bodies deserve an overhaul too, starting on the outside. Show off a new layer of smooth skin at Edmonton’s sleek, minimalist Eveline Charles spa, where they’re introducing an aromatic white tea and fig antioxidant scrub treatment to target the worst of winter casualties: dry skin.

I kept cozy with warm towels (graciously reheated for constant comfort) during a preliminary round of dry exfoliation. An exfoliating glove (think loofah) was passed over my skin before a white tea and fig scrub was vigorously applied while I basked in its fresh aroma. (Dry gloves are a triple threat because they also boost circulation and discourage cellulite.) Warm water rinsed off my scrub, and my towels were graciously reheated for constant comfort.

Then the second level of my healing began: The new white tea and fig lotion was lightly massaged onto my body via fluttery effleurage movements. Hooked on the lotion’s subtle scent, I picked up some white tea and fig antioxidant foaming scrub to try at home" not to mention a white tea and fig soy candle to set the mood. Thanks to Eveline Charles, the rites of spring were never so smooth.
