The behavior of bacteria in space
The behaviour of micro-organisms that we carry with us in space can have a serious impact on the health of astronauts and can also affect space equipment. Through the understanding of how Earth microbes react to space conditions, we could increase our knowledge of microbial life and prepare ourselves to the potential discovery of such organisms on other planets. This presentation offers a stellar point of view on viruses.

Canadian Workshop on Bed Rest Studies
The Canadian Space Agency, the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology (CSEP) and the CIHR Institute of Musculoskeletal Health and Arthritis (IMHA) invite the scientific and medical communities to participate in a unique event: the first Canadian workshop on bedrest studies. This informative workshop will focus on training methods to maintain musculoskeletal and cardiovascular function in weightlessness or simulated microgravity situations such as long-tern bedrest.
