Pursuant to Order made earlier today, the House proceeded to the taking of the deferred recorded division on the motion of Mr. Hearn (Minister of Fisheries and Oceans), seconded by Ms. Verner (Minister of International Cooperation and Minister for la Francophonie and Official Languages), — That, given the importance of the fisheries in Ontario and the introduction of Bill C-45, An Act respecting the sustainable development of Canada's seacoast and inland fisheries, by the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans which addresses the concerns of the Standing Joint Committee on Scrutiny of Regulations, and pursuant to Standing Order 124 and subsection 19.1(5) of the Statutory Instruments Act, the resolution of the Standing Joint Committee on Scrutiny of Regulations providing that subsection 36(2) of the Ontario Fishery Regulations, 1989, be revoked, presented to the House on February 7, 2007, in its Fourth Report (Report No. 78 — Disallowance), not be adopted and that the matter be referred back to the Standing Joint Committee on Scrutiny of Regulations for further review. Conformément à l'ordre adopté plus tôt aujourd'hui, la Chambre procède au vote par appel nominal différé sur la motion de M. Hearn (ministre des Pêches et des Océans), appuyé par Mme Verner (ministre de la Coopération internationale et ministre de la Francophonie et des Langues officielles), — Que, étant donné l'importance des pêches en Ontario et le dépôt du projet de loi C-45, Loi concernant le développement durable des pêches dans les eaux côtières et les eaux intérieures du Canada par le ministre des Pêches et des Océans qui tient compte des questions soulevées par le Comité mixte permanent d'examen de la réglementation, et conformément à l'article 124 du Règlement et au paragraphe 19.1(5) de la Loi sur les textes réglementaires, la résolution du Comité mixte permanent d'examen de la réglementation prévoyant l'abrogation du paragraphe 36(2) du Règlement de pêche de l'Ontario de 1989, présenté à la Chambre le 7 février 2007 dans son quatrième rapport (Rapport no 78 — Abrogation), ne soit pas adoptée et que la question soit renvoyée au Comité mixte permanent d'examen de la réglementation pour réexamen.
