During the year, a number of important regulation changes may have to be made in specific waters. Please check the list of Management Changes and Updates below or click on Updates on the left bar to see whether the Area you plan to fish in has been affected.


Management Changes and Updates

Symbol of red tide (PSP)
Consuming shellfish that is contaminated or has red tide (PSP) can cause serious illness or death.
Please check before you harvest.
 

Multiple Areas
Recreational and First Nations shellfish harvesters are advised that Vibrio
parahaemolyticus (Vp)
levels are currently extremely high in some areas. It is strongly recommended that bivalves such as oysters and clams are not
consumed raw at least during the warm summer months. Listed on 23/07/2007  FN0491
