Mr Christopher J. Terry

Christopher John Terry was born in the United Kingdom and arrived in Canada with his family in 1957. He grew up in Aurora, Ontario, and graduated from the University of Guelph, and the London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London, England. Mr Terry worked for the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, the federal housing agency, from 1971 to 1989. He was the Chairman of the Ottawa Chapter of the Canadian Aviation Historical Society from 1981 to 1989 and has also served on the Boards of other community organizations in Ottawa. He was Chairman, Aviation Museum Group, International Association of Transport and Communications Museums from 1995 to 2002. Mr Terry joined the Canada Aviation Museum as its Director General in 1989 and assumed responsibility for the corporate development activities of the Canada Science and Technology Museum Corporation in 1994. In February 2001 he was appointed President and CEO of the Canada Science and Technology Museum Corporation. Mr Terry's appointment as President and CEO was renewed for a five–year term in February 2004.
