Summer Concert Series at the Canadian War MuseumOttawa, Ontario, June 28, 2006 — This July, the Canadian War Museum will present a number of special musical performances in the LeBreton Gallery. Admission to the Museum includes access to the performances.
The Maple Leaf Brass Band July 1 – 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Free admission all day! Celebrate Canada Day with the big, glorious sound of the Maple Leaf Brass Band.
The Band of the Ceremonial Guard and the Landwehr Band July 21 – 6:30 p.m. Join the Band of the Ceremonial Guard as they play a joint concert with the Landwehr Band, from Fribourg, Switzerland. Performing both individually and together, they will play military marches, overtures and much more.
Caen Choir July 25 – 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The University of Caen Choir, formed in 1963, preserves and highlights the history of Caen and Normandy, including commemorations of Second World War events. The choir performs and records a wide variety of music from the choral repertoire, including classical, folk and popular pieces, and has toured extensively in Europe, North America, and Japan.
