Note to users(continued)

Acts in the following categories are listed alphabetically thereunder:

Agreements - Income Tax, Estate Tax, Succession Duty, and related tax matters

Agreements - Trade, Commerce and related matters

Bridges, Electoral Districts, Provincial Boundaries, and Treaties of Peace.

Immediately beneath the title of each Act is the equivalent title, printed in italics, of the Act in the other official language. This will assist users of this Table in finding the Act in the French version of this Table.

References in bold face beneath an Act indicate the provisions of that Act that have been amended or added. The reader should refer to the coming into force (CIF) entry for each amendment at the end of the listing of amendments to an Act. CIF dates are by day, month and year (e.g. 05.01.89 is 5 January, 1989).

The term SOR or SI is a reference to Statutory Orders and Regulations or Statutory Instruments as published in the Canada Gazette Part II. CIF refers to the date of coming into force. (E) indicates the English version only is amended and (F) indicates the French version only is amended.

Note: There are a certain number of Acts, passed before January 1, 1985, that were not consolidated in the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1927, 1952, 1970 or 1985. As those Acts are still in force, they are included in this Table. There are also a number of sections (or parts thereof) in Acts passed before January 1, 1985, that were not consolidated in the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1927, 1952, 1970 or 1985. Those provisions may be found in Schedule A to the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1927 (p. 4283 of Volume IV), Schedule A to the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1952 (p. 5967 of Volume V (Supplement)), Schedule A to the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1970, and the Schedule to Appendix I to the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1985. In each Schedule the sections (or parts thereof) that were not consolidated are shown as exceptions in the third column entitled “Extent of Repeal.”
