JRE: A Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is required to run applets and applications written using the Java programming language.
JVM: Java Virtual Machine (JVM) is a piece of software installed on your computer that allows your browser to interact with our Web site. A JVM is a component of a Java Runtime Environment (JRE).

Log In: Is the process of allowing you on line access to epass Enabled Services.
Log In Information: Is the combination of Your User ID and Password.

Manage My epass: Functions that allow you to change your User ID or Password, or revoke your epass.

Official Languages: Is the Government of Canada’s policy statement concerning both official languages.

Recovery: Is the process of regaining a forgotten User ID or Password.
Register: Is the process of obtaining an epass from epass Canada.
Return: A command shown on a button that sends the user back to the previous Web page.
Revoke: Is the process of cancelling your epass and making it unusable. Revoked epasses cannot be recovered.

Sign: Is the action of electronically signing your transactions.

TTY/TDD: Is a telecommunications device used by persons who are hearing impaired. A typewriter-like unit prints the conversation on screen or paper so that it can be read.

Validate: Is a process that confirms that you want to perform the requested action.
