RealPlayer

The downloadable RealPlayer for RealAudio file is available free of charge from the Real.com WWW site.

NOTE that the company offers on the same page a version called "RealPlayer Plus", for which there is a charge. The free version is called RealPlayer 8 Basic.

  • Click on the link above to access the site.
  • Click on the RealPlayer (free player) link in the middle of the screen.
  • Complete the user information form:
    • type your e-mail address in the text box supplied.
    • select the country from the drop-down menu.
    • select the required OS (operating system - Windows, Mac, etc.) from the dropdown menu.
    • select your preferred language form the drop-down menu.
    • select the the required connection speed from the list provided.
  • Press the Download FREE RealPlayer button to initiate a download.

Windows Media Player

The Windows Media Player for audio and video files is available free of charge from the Windows Media Technologies Download Centre.

To download the player,

  • Click on the link above to access the site.
  • In the Select download dropdown, select Windows Media Player.
  • In the Select version dropdown menu, select the version for your computer operating system - Windows, Mac, etc. (or scroll down the page and select from the list).
  • In the Select language dropdown menu, select the language required.
  • Click on the Download now button to initiate a transfer to your PC.

Windows Quicktime

The Windows Quicktime is available free of charge from the Apple iTunes Website

To download the player,

  • Click on the link above to access the site.
  • Choose between Windows or Mac environment.
  • Press on the "Download iTunes Free button
  • Select Save to your Desktop.
  • Open the iTunes Setup.exe Icon on your Desktop and follow the instructions to install the software into your computer system.
