  • the name ot the person who sponsored the motion,
  • the subject matter of the motion,
  • the results of the vote, and,
  • the name of either the Prime Minister or a senior Cabinet minister to assist in determining how the Cabinet voted.

Recorded votes list the names of each Member of the House of Commons present in the Chamber, and how they voted. These votes are also known as recorded divisions or standing votes.
