Description

Main lab/office, two-storey complex plus three unheated warehouses on main grounds. Five labs, workshop, research library with large collection of Western Arctic specific material, Internet access and meeting room in town of 3,000. Fourplex rowhouse accommodations; each unit able to sleep 6 for a total of 24 people. Laundry and kitchen facilities are also included in each unit.

January to December (Open all year; summer is usually the busiest season so book in advance.)

Rules and regulations

Scientific Research Licence required. Field parties must be a minimum of 2 persons if working outside of the community.

Access to facility

Daily scheduled airline flights from Calgary, Edmonton, Yellowknife and Norman Wells. Also regular flights from Whitehorse. Road access except for a brief period during fall freeze up and spring breakup.
