Description

Basic Shelter. Not locked. No power, heat or communication. Comfortable for a maximum of 6 persons. River water and some emergency supplies are available.

Excellent landing area for Twin Otter or similar aircraft. Good area for camping.

Licences/Permits/Applications

Permission required from Aulavik National Park for use of facility. Backcountry Permit, Research Permit and Aircraft Landing Permit required from Aulavik National Park. Environmental screening clearance required from the Environmental Impact Screening Committee, Linda Graf (resource person), Phone (867) 777-2828. Box 2120, Inuvik, NT, X0E 0T0.

National Park Backcountry Permit and National Park Research Permit required and general National Park regulations apply.

No charge. Replace supplies used.

None available; supply your own communications.

Access to facility

Accessible by charter aircraft, no scheduled service. Can also be accessed by snow machine from Sachs Harbour.

Aircraft fuel available at Facility

Fuel on site for Parks Canada use only. Various types of fuel may be cached but not guaranteed.

Vehicle fuel available at facility
